The Extra 330 SC is the ultimate evolution of the Extra 300 serie of aircrafts. Designed to be able to fly all the figures of modern aerobatics, it is equipped with a 315hp Lycoming AEIO-580 engine. It can achieve the impressive roll rate of 420°/sec. Like most of the modern aircrafts, its airframe makes wide use of modern carbon/epoxy composite materials.

The aircraft represented here is the one used by the EVAA (Equipe de Voltige de l'Armée de l'Air - French Airforce Aerobatic Team), and is the aircraft in which Renaud Ecalle became world aerobatic champion in 2009.
