Controlled aerodrome since October 17, 1977, Grenoble-Le Versoud is located north-east of Grenoble at the foot of the Belledonne chain, in the Grésivaudan valley. It is located near the agglomeration of Grenoble. The field has a 900 meter hard runway and a grass runway both oriented 04/22. This aerodrome is at the heart of the development of mountain aviation in France, one of whose pioneers was the famous Henri Giraud.
